Are we buying architecture education? This project investigates the booming portfolio-preparation agencies, an interesting evolution of the long-existing tutoring industry in some parts of the world. Portfolio agencies target specifically at architecture students and provides customized service to assist with their university application. Based on our research of some famous portfolio agencies in China founded in the past decade, we designed a board game which hopes to provide an informing, holistic understanding of how these agencies function, therefore create a space for critical discussion over some concerning aspects of our discipline, such as unequal access to information and resources, education gentrification, branding and marketing, pedagogy, the boundary of plagiarism, etc.
