Portfolio Agency
Is architecture education becoming a commodity? This project investigates the blooming of portfolio preparation agencies, which target specifically at architecture students and provide customised tutoring service to assist with their university application. Based on our research of some famous portfolio agencies in China founded in the past decade, we designed a board game which hopes to provide an informing, holistic understanding of how these agencies function, and create a space for critical discussion about some concerning aspects of our discipline, such as social privilege, access to information and resources, education gentrification, branding, marketing, pedagogy, oriniality and plagiarism, etc.
